WORDS: MICHAEL POLE
When most of us hear the word freedom, we think of physical freedom. The ability to move around freely when and wherever we want. But what if true freedom, the freedom that comes with an ever expanding feeling of joy, happiness, peace and fulfillment, actually comes from within each of us? What if true freedom doesn’t come from someone or something outside of us but actually comes from within ourselves? Those who decide that they want to find true freedom is where the journey begins. Most people who start this journey, don’t start out looking for true freedom, that isn’t their goal. They are looking to heal the deepest parts of themselves and in doing so, they find true freedom.
Freedom is unlocking ourselves from the prison of our own minds. From little on, we have been told what to think, what to believe and how we should feel. A large portion of our beliefs and how we think has been handed down to us from previous generations. Not all of it is positive. How we were raised and the family dynamic we grew up in influences every aspect of our lives as we grow up. The journey to true freedom starts if we decide that how we think, feel and act is aligned with who we truly are and how we want to live our lives.
The path you travel on this journey isn’t always an easy one! It can be filled with pulling out and examining things that we have tucked away in hopes of never having to deal with them again. Yet, they need to be if we truly want to heal and be free. Experiences in our past that were traumatic and hurtful, if not fully processed and resolved, can hold us back from being free. When we thoroughly examine the beliefs and habits handed down to us by previous generations, do they align with us? Do we really agree with them? If not, we are not truly free.
There are many ways to address and work through troubling past experiences of our own as well as what was passed down to us. We are living at an amazing time where there are so many options available! The holistic options for therapy has really presented itself strongly over the last 10 years! Especially in the area of Energy Therapy! The energy of negative thoughts and emotions, if held onto long enough and not processed, can become trapped in our body. I have found Energy Therapy to be especially effective in releasing the energies of past traumas and emotions. This is because everything is energy! Including our thoughts and emotions! They are powerful! Thoughts and emotions, if powerful enough, can even affect us on a physical level because our bodies are also made up of energy! The energy of these negative emotions can cause our body to become unbalanced. By releasing the energy, we are assisting our body to come back into balance and heal itself! Every emotion we have, every thought we think, the words we use to talk to others, the words we use when we speak to or about ourselves, carry a vibration. They are energy. Your body believes everything you tell it! Our thoughts and emotions create our reality!
Many journeys to freedom begin when someone cannot take their own emotional pain and suffering any longer. They have reached the point where they want to do something. They deeply feel the need to do something and everything they have tried so far either hasn’t worked or they feel there is something deeper that needs to be addressed and that they are open to try anything. It is at this point where many people will seek some form of energy work.
Our mind and body are amazing! The part of the mind that is subconscious holds everything that has happened to us throughout our lives. It can be thought of as a giant database. Our body is talking to us all the time through physical discomfort and various sensations. If we quiet ourselves enough and take the time to listen, it will tell us exactly what it needs. One way to communicate with our body is through non force kinesiology also known as muscle testing. By asking simple yes or no questions, our body will communicate what it needs. The energy of the negative emotions and energetic imbalances can be cleared from the body, once identified, in various ways. The more negative emotional energy and energetic imbalances that are released and corrected in the body, the better we feel in mind, body and spirit! The lighter we feel and the more clearly we can think!
The truest form of freedom isn’t how much money we have or how many material objects we have acquired. True freedom, for ourselves, begins with us!
